BUSY HOLIDAYS

This Christmas was wonderful!! It was busy but great!! I got off of work and went home to my wonderful husband that had wine, christmas music, and presents waiting for me! We opened presents from each other! It was our first christmas and the Mr. & Mrs. so we wanted to do something special and not have the entire family around!!! It was a nice surprise!!!

Christmas eve we woke up early and off to Little Rock we go!!! Opened presents with his family and then went to the Furnish Family dinner! We got to see all of the family that lives in Little Rock! We haven't seen them since Allisons wedding, so it was wonderful to see them!!!

Christmas morning we woke up and went to my sisters house and opened presents from Mom, Dad, Allison, Crow, Jeremy and I !!! Allison made this delicious breakfast that was to die for!!!! After we were done there it was back to the Lucas's for the annual christmas party!!! We got to see all the extended family from the lucas side that we havent seen in a while as well!!!! it was a great holiday filled with friends, family and fun!!!

Chirstmas PRO-ACTIVE

this year i was trying to be christmas pro-active: getting christmas shopping done early and not getting out in the crazy crowds that comes with the season! I've done good so far, i think i have everyone done except for the people that Jeremy are suppose to buy for! of course he hasnt done it yet! he just bought for me two weekends ago! he will probably wait till the very last minute and then ill have to get into the crazy crowds and finish up! Maybe he'll enjoy online shopping and get it done ASAP!!!

its beginning to look a lot like christmas!!

so this will be the first christmas that Jeremy and I will have as a married couple and i think i might have gone a little over board!! Not only is it not even thanksgiving yet abut i have the tree up and over 120 ornaments on it! I decided that this years theme would be red and gold!! Now here in camden we dont have cute little stores that carry really pretty ornaments....well at least not a sunday night....i was very persistant tonight that the tree was going up!! so off to walmart i go to pick up every red and gold ornament they carry....and by the way camden doesnt even have a super walmart....but it is being built....so the selection is limit but i found these two great big boxes one gold and one red full of glittler, frosted, and shiny ornaments!! i think that it is so pretty but i think i might add a few more!! ill post pics of the finished product!!!

This weekend!

this coming weekend i am going HOME!! im so excited! i havent been home since my sister's wedding and that was on sept 27! So needless to say its is time for some family, fun , and relaxation!!! oh and not to metion RETAIL THERAPY! Im and going shopping with the hubby and then my mom!! You see my birthday is coming up in two weeks and its really hard for them to shop for me! apparently i have become to picky so we all decided that it would be best if i came with them!!! so excited!!!

ohhh the twlight series......

So i started the twlight series last weekend and i must say that i love it!! i am already on the third book and cant wait till i actually know the end result! Jeremy on the other hand cant wait for me to be done that that he can have his wife back! this week it hasnt been bad since he has been on nights! i go home start a fire and snuggle up with the dogs and read....after i cook and do all the wifey duties! it really is a series that kinda sucks you in and you just cant stop! if anyone hasnt read them i would suggest that you do!!

the past two weeks

Im going to be brief...dont want to go into stupid details....

i swear its been raining for like 3 days and i sit in front a quite a large window in the front of the office and i stare at this awful weather!! Its the type of weather that you just want to go home and snuggle up on the sofa and watch movies!!!

So two weeks ago my family came down to stay the weekend and it was a good time! Allison, Mom and I went to look at houses and to visit....drank a bit, chatted a bit and the boys hunted!!

This past weekend we had Becca , Kyle and Tony down so that the boys could hunt some more while Becca and I went shopping....i dont know what it is about alot of shopping in one day that totally makes me have a nervous breakdown but one was about to hit me saturday after a few stores....i dont know if it was the old woman perfume or the hot store that kinda threw everything out of wack but boy did i had a cold sweat and a headache that was slowly coming my way!! So out to the car for some advil!!! i got Jeremy some clothes and his ROCKY boots that he has been begging for and some other presents for CHRISTMAS!!

all in all it has been a good couple of weekends filled with friends, family and fun!!

October 26

i think i should explain where we live so that this story makes since!!! We live on 13 acres in camden...just right outside the city limits!! Jeremy has a deer lease down the road and he also hunts on our land! We have a feeder and everything....yes i know what you are thinking!!! But thats ok!! On to the story! Yesterday Jeremy was taking a Sunday nap after the long weekend (that will have to be another blog) we had! So i go outside to have a smoke and i look down to the feeder to see if there were any deer cause the dogs needed to come outside and potty! Anywho ..... low and behold there's a deer! from where i was i couldnt see if it had horns or not so i get the binoculars and HE HAS HORNS!! so here i go....waking Jeremy up to tell him!! He jumps up loads is muzzleloader and army crawls down to a good spot to get the deer!!! i got to watch the enitre time it was so funny to see!!!! He aims, He shoots, Deer goes down! He was so excited to get his second buck in two weeks!!! Here he is in all his glory!!!

This one is not getting mounted!!! Thank goodness!!

The Nerves

Are going to start taking over here soon! My Mom, Dad, Sister , and Brother in Law are all coming in town this weekend....as in tomorrow!! Im so excited my nerves are going crazy....or it could be the amount of coffee i have had today!!! But either way im so excited!!

My parents have been down before but my sister and crow have not!!! Normally when Jeremy and I go home we are pulled between the two family's on who and what we do and when we do it!!!! Which means that i dont get to spend as much time as i would like with my family!!!!! But this weekend i have them all to myself!! woo woo!!

Oh i almost forgot!! My boss and the vp are out today and tomorrow and boy is all the stress off of everyone at work!!! woo hoo......good greif i dont know what to do with myself!!! im just excited all the way around!!!

October 18

So its been 6 months since me and jeremy have been married and this is what he brought me!!!

He left early saturday morning and didnt come home til 10 and he was so excited!! I on the other hand was thinking "he is going to want this on the wall" and sure enough he does....and for some reason i just dont see it fitting in with the decor. There are just some things i will never understand about men and their deer!!!

So he calls my dad and my dad is also in the deer woods 45 mins away and he wants to come see this ''GIANT'' and so here we are jeremy me and my dad!! Me being the outspoken person i am was trying to give out my point of view about NOT mounting the deer...i would think the horns are enough and my dad says "Rachel, Jeremy might not see/kill a deer this big for the rest of his life" So i have come to this conclusion he can get it mounted BUT its going in the garage!!!

The Past weekend....

So as you all know i have been sick with Jeremy's illness...the plan for this weekend was to relax and get well considering i do have to work next week and i didnt want to get behind at work!! so friday night arrives and i couldnt be more excited!! i come home from a long day at work and jeremy to my surprise has the perfect thing for this weekend...MOVIES!! He knows me so well!!! i immediately go to the bedroom get in my pj's and snuggle up to watch a movie!! Watched the movie , took some nyquil , and went to bed!!
Saturday Jeremy wanted to go play guitar with some of our friends so we pack up ourselves and the guitars and off to El Dorado we go!!! It was a blast to get to watch Jeremy do what he loves and he sounded awesome!! got home at 12:30, took nyquil, and went to bed!! Needless to say this weekend i slept over 24 hours!!!

I know so lazy but in my defense i was extremely ill and today not feeling like 100 bucks but feeling pretty good!!! Hope yall's weekend was great!!!

i am .....

SICK.... after an entire week of taking care of Jeremy i am now sick!! ugh!!!! i haev this congestion from hell and this headache from sinus pressure that WILL NOT go away!! And to top it all off the women that i work with are menopausal and have the A/C on 70!! i am sitting here at my desk freezing, coughing, sneezing and just wanting to go home and cuddle up on the couch and let Jeremy cater to me :(

My Sister.......

...is finally back from the honeymoon!! yippee!! I'm so happy that she not only is home safely but i feel like she has been gone FOREVER!! you see me and my sis are pretty close!! I dont know how i would survive without her!!! She did tell me some pretty good information last night bout Costa Rica.....you probably shouldn't go in September/October ....its the rainy season!!! So she is home from a wonderful honeymoon that she was sick at the entire time. i really felt bad for her....dont get me wrong...i really did....but i got really sick on my honeymoon too so i was kinda glad that i had someone else that experienced the same thing!!!!

Now that she is home....its moving into Crow's house...well now their house...and attempting to sell her condo!!! Her condo is absolutely wonderful and i really hate to see it go....she has lived there for 3 years and i am going to miss it!!! i mean i even had a room there!! dont get me wrong im sure ill have a room at their house now...but its not going to be the same!!! :( So just a little notice....if you know anyone that wants to buy a condo off of cantrell let me know and ill get all the information for Allison!!!

OH MY!!

Oh how the time flys!!! Jeremy and i have been married for 171 days!!! Can you believe it??? I can't!! People say that time flies when you having fun and i must agree!!! Who would have thought that it has been that long!! And by the way i never thanked everyone that was there to celebrate that special day with us!! So here is your HUGE thank you! I still look at our pictures often and all i can do is have the BIGGEST smile on my face!!!

This week has been kinda a bummer! Jeremy has been sick with this illness that has him in the total dumps!! its so upseting not to be able to help him and bring him relief!!! i know now how my mom had felt all those years when i was a toddler and i was always so sick and she never knew what to do!! i will have to find some of the pictures of back then to show all of yall the crazy allergies that i had!!! i looked so sad! So if anyone has suggestions for me please dont hesitate to help!! i need all that i can get!!!

OH YEAH i TOTALLY forgot.....most of yall know that i am not the most demosticated person there is BUT this weekend and thus far this week i have totally played the part not only did i attempt to take care of Jeremy but i cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner all weekend and this week so far i have cooked dinner....now i know its only tuesday but hey you gotta start somewhere!! and im sure your wondering how do we eat??? Jeremy is an AMAZING cook!! Boy am i lucky!!

The Last Year!

so i decided that i am going to start a blog to help keep up with everyone!! yall can see what all is going on in my crazy world and i can yalls!!!

its crazy to think about the last year and how much has gone on! Not only have i graduated college, got married , and got a wonderful job, but i have grown up quite a bit! if i may say so myself!

so much has happened i wouldnt even know where to begin!! so we arent going to go into detail about anything just gonna keep it current!

Just a little update! Allison ( my sister) got married this past weekend and it was absolutely wonderful! she married her boyfriend of 10 years and now they are in costa rica and i am totally jealous!! grrr for honeymoons!! So since i am so jealous of the vacation.....i have made a new rule for myself....GO ON VACATION ONCE A YEAR!!
