Life savers....

and when i say life savers.....these products saved.my.life :)

First and foremost....the swaddleme blanket...best thing since sliced bread.  Alyssa had zero control of her arms. she would be sleeping and the next thing you know shes crying becuase she hit herself in the face.  She lived in this thing for the first month or so.  But always slept in it. Until she starting rolling over in her sleep (4 months).

Alyssa and I didnt mesh real well when it came to breastfeeding... so me and medela became BFF's.  Her and I didnt go anywhere without each other....literally stuck at the hip...... or boobs....however you wanna take it :). I bought a different pump before I had Alysssa but we(the first pump and i) were like oil and water so I ended up buying this baby too.  yep thats right i literally spent about 500.00 on breastpumps.....ugh

Gripe water....oh how i love thee....great great great product.  Easy to measure.... Alyssa loved and it was great for the first couple of months when the babies dont really have the muscles to push out the gas!

My first years sound machine, OMG this thing is great!  It has a setting for a "heartbeat".  Alyssa loves this thing, or maybe i do cause i can hear it through her monitor but all the same.  LOVE THIS!  Up until Alyssa was 8 weeks or so, she would only sleep on my chest....that was until i found this bad boy! sweet mother i was in heaven.

WHAT? WHERE? WHEN? HOW?

What on earth have i been doing?  Chasing after my adorable little daughter that looks just like her daddy.
Where have i been?  Between sanity and pulling my hair out.....
When did my days consist of all this craziness?  The minute i had Alyssa.  Life hasnt been the same since.
How do i plan to change things?  Im not ... I wouldnt trade it for the world.

Everyone tells you when your pregnant that your life will never be the same.  And you just smile and say "Oh i know" but in reality YOU HAVE NO IDEA.  People will tell you to take the last few weeks and do nothing but relax.  YOU SHOULD!! every second you get....sit on your ass and relax, because after the baby gets here, at first you will be like oh this isnt bad~getting up every two hours to feed your child, change the diaper, get all swaddled back.  but after about a week your tired, i mean so tired you cant even remember the last time your peed.  let alone drank something....eating...whats that? Everyone will give you advice about what diapers to use, breastfeed/formula, when they should do this, when you should start that, but the best advice i can give is that you have to do what you feel is right.  No one else is the mother of your child, it has to be your decision and yours alone.  You have to become confident in the decisions you make and if it doesnt turn out exactly how you planned/though it would. IT WILL BE OK. really it will.

Alyssa has already started walking....and im not saying that she takes a few steps...that was like a month ago....she is on the move people....full force.....on the move.  She finally got 2 teeth on the bottom(9months) and is full of laughter and sometimes tears....its like night and day some days....she can be crying and then all of a sudden she starts laughing....its  bizarre :) but i love that sweet girl more than words can say.

im gonna write a post on what saved my life the first few months of alyssa being here.....its gonna be a good one....and when i say it saved my life....no joke...saved!!!
